Description
Grab a friend and join us for lunch with Sue de Vanny. The very talented artist will be showcasing her beautiful works and taking us on a journey into her textile world and the stories behind her creativity.
Sue is a multi or mixed-media artist, with a passion for textiles and stitching but also loves to add paint and a number of different mediums, using them as is and separately too. Sue has been more involved in the textile side of art for the last 18 years now, completing City & Guilds Cert 2 in design. Exhibiting around the world with several pieces at a time and being the recipient of awards in Australia and overseas. Sue’s work has been in magazines and in numerous books with articles and stories behind the artworks. With two solo exhibitions the last one being in between lockdowns in 2020.
The future sees Sue continuing to delve into mixed media more so, but always involving textiles as it seem to be the favourite. Exploring the ‘What if?’ to see how it ends up. Sue is wanting to introduce, and open minds to textiles in our Art world as well as to be accepted as one of the great mediums alongside oils, pastels etc.
This event includes a light lunch and will be held in our shop from 10am – 2pm. Pricing is per person. Places are strictly limited, so book now to avoid disappointment. We will contact you shortly after booking to confirm your place and check for dietary requirements.
Some of Sue’s work can be viewed on her website.
